Những đề cử và hạng mục cho lễ trao giải The Game Awards đã được công bố, giới thiệu đến cộng đồng các trò chơi, các đội thể thao điện tử và các màn trình diễn được đánh giá là hay nhất năm nay.
Giải thưởng thường niên The Game Awards mà nhiều người mong ngóng đang đến rất gần. Tháng tới, Geoff Keighley sẽ một lần nữa lên sân khấu làm người dẫn chương trình và nhấn mạnh một số thành tựu lớn nhất trong năm. Ngoài ra, những đề cử và hạng mục sẽ được trình làng đã được công bố, cho phép các game thủ bỏ phiếu cho các danh hiệu yêu thích của mình.
Tổng cộng có đến 102 trò chơi và cá nhân được đề cử. Những trò chơi gây được ấn tượng trong năm qua như Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, What Remains of Edith Finch, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus,.. tất nhiên cũng không thể vắng mặt ở nhiều hạng mục khác nhau.

PUBG xuất hiện ba lần, bao gồm cả đề cử cho giải Game hay nhất năm / Game of The Year (đã có một số người tỏ ra không hài lòng trên Twitter bởi vì nó vẫn còn là một sản phẩm thử nghiệm Early Access) và Best Ongoing Game, dành cho trò chơi vẫn đang được phát triển nhưng thu hút được sự chú ý và cho thấy được sự hấp dẫn của mình.
Vé tham dự sự kiện đang được bày bán và có giá từ 40 USD đến 60 USD tùy thuộc vào khu vực ghế ngồi bạn chọn. Ngoài ra, có cả gói VIP dành cho những người sẵn sàng bỏ ra 200 USD với những đặc quyền riêng.
Buổi trao giải The Game Awards sẽ diễn ra tại Nhà hát Microsoft ở Los Angeles, California vào ngày 7 tháng 12 năm 2017. Chương trình sẽ được trình chiếu trực tiếp trên tất cả các nền tảng phát sóng trực tuyến lớn như Youtube và Twitch.
